Suncoast Mental Health Center, Inc. (SMHC) strives to provide best-practice and research-based assessment, counseling, case management, and psychiatric services to children, their families and adults in the four-county Treasure Coast area.

Why Suncoast Mental Health Center?

At Suncoast Mental Health Center we offer an alternative to traditional therapy and psychiatric services. We provide an environment that nurtures he child, affirms the adolescent, and empowers the adults and family. SMHC employs highly trained and educated staff to provide the level of quality, best-practice, evidence-based services needed by those receiving care. SMHC’s goal is to assist all clients in reaching their fullest potential.


Care for Caregivers (C4C)

Are you caring for a loved one with a mental illness? Caring for a loved one with a mental illness can be overwhelming without help or much needed support. No one should feel like they are alone in this journey. Care for Caregivers (C4C) is a FREE support group for those who care for individuals and family members suffering from mental and behavioral health issues. Group Facilitator, Diego Gonzalez, has 23 years of experience as a caregiver to family members affected by mental illness. Diego was a trained member of NAMI Bergen County, NJ and has taught the Family-to-family 12 week course which provides insight to family members, caregiving individuals, and friends of the mentally ill on different ways to connect with their mentally ill loved one. C4C is scheduled for the 3rd Monday of each month at the Suncoast Mental Health Center’s Fort Pierce Office: 2418 S US1 Suite D6, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Are you the guardian or primary caregiver of a relative under the age of 18? Suncoast Mental Health Center is offering a FREE support group for those that are “Parenting the Second Time Around.” Learn about your rights and what resources are available for you and your family! Join us for a light lunch and presentations by Florida Rural Legal Services and MorseLife, Inc. Counseling from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on the 4th Thursday of every month.
